Client Instructions

When do you need my documents?

In order to complete your return before the April 15, 2025 deadline, we will need your documents by March 14, 2025.

In order to complete your return before the October 15, 2025 extension deadline, we will need your documents by September 19, 2025.

Where and how do I upload documents?
    1. Click “Client Login” in the upper right corner of our website.
    2. Please note that once you log in, you will need to switch from the Tasks view to Documents.
    3. On the left-hand side of the screen, you should be able to view your portal in folder view and list view. Please make sure that you are in Folder View to ensure that you are uploading to the correct place.
    4. There should be a folder titled ‘UPLOAD HERE’. Click here.
    5. You may now use the Add button to upload.
    6. If you have access to more than one portal with us (i.e. personal & corporate), you can switch between each account within this page. Just click the drop-down arrow next to the name. Then moving forward, you can add documents specific to each profile in the appropriate folders.

If I upload my documents, how do I know you received them?
For current year documents, please email uploads@wbhconsulting.com when you have finished uploading all of your source documents. We receive tens of thousands of documents from our clients during tax season and we have no way of knowing if you’ve finished providing all of your source documents without your email confirmation. A staff member will confirm receipt. Your return will not be added to our preparation queue until we receive your email.

We will move your documents into a folder titled “Previously Uploaded” within your “UPLOAD HERE” folder after we’ve processed them. You will still be able to view the subfolder for reference, but you can only upload into the parent “UPLOAD HERE” folder. We will clear this folder at the end of each year. You can then find your documents under the corresponding tax year. For example – Tax Return (2023) > Client Documents > Source Documents.

Should I pay estimated taxes and when are they due?

We will recommend upcoming year estimated tax payments when we complete your current year tax return. It will be included in an email from WBH Consulting and delivered with your return. The quarterly estimate due dates are as follows:

    • Q1 due April 15
    • Q2 due June 15
    • Q3 due September 15
    • Q4 due January 15 of the following year
How do I make my estimated tax payments?
Federal Payments should be made electronically at IRS Direct Pay and Georgia payments should be made electronically at Georgia Tax Center. Please be sure to designate each payment as an “estimated tax payment” for the corresponding year. Please save your payment confirmations to include with your source documents, or go ahead and upload to your secure client portal.
How do I make an extension payment?

An extension grants you extended time to file, but not an extended time to pay. Therefore if it’s anticipated that you’ll owe tax, we recommend making extension payments.

Federal Payments should be made electronically at IRS Direct Pay and should be designated as an “extension payment” for the corresponding tax year. Georgia payments can be made at Georgia Tax Center after you have created an Individual Income Tax account. The Georgia extension payment will need to be designated as an “estimated payment” for the corresponding tax year. Please upload your payment confirmations to your portal or send directly to your tax preparer.
